Johor Bahru or Johor Baharu and abbreviated as JB, is the capital of Johor in southern Malaysia. Johor Bahru is the southernmost city in the mainland of Eurasia, and Pasir Pelangi is located within Johor Bahru city.
With a population of approximately 900,000 in the city, and more than 1.8 million in its metropolitan area, is the second largest urban area in the country after the country’s capital, Kuala Lumpur and the Klang Valley region partners. Johor Bahru is located within walking distance of Singapore, and receives more than 60% of the annual 16 million foreign tourists via its bridges and roads in Singapore. The city is an important industrial, tourism and commercial center for southern Malaysia and one of the largest industrial centers of the country. The population growth rate of Johor Bahru is one of the highest in Southeast Asia.
